Nanotechnology and CSC Targeting

Nanotechnology offers a promising approach for selectively targeting cancer stem cells (CSCs) with greater precision. This track focuses on the development of nanoparticle-based drug delivery systems that can specifically target CSCs while minimizing damage to normal cells. Researchers explore how nanoparticles can be engineered to deliver therapeutic agents directly to CSCs by recognizing specific surface markers or responding to the unique microenvironment of CSCs. Nanotechnology also enables the delivery of combination therapies, such as chemotherapy and immunotherapy, to effectively eliminate CSCs and prevent tumor recurrence.
