Cancer cell plasticity

Human cells are very plastic. Plasticity endows cancer cells with the capacity to shift dynamically between a differentiated state, with limited tumorigenic potential, and an undifferentiated or cancer stem-like cell (CSC) state, which is responsible for long-term tumor growth. This is the ability of cancer cell to change their physiological properties to resist many changes of the therapy whether it is associated with pre-treatment or the post treatment and in addition to this it generates and spread potential tumour around the whole body.
